Auto workshops
Bilingual tax invoice letterhead for an Al Quoz auto workshop
The workshop was working from an invoice design nobody had the artwork for. It needed reproducing as a proper A4 tax invoice letterhead — Arabic and English side by side, the TRN block in the right place, and enough room to write up labour and parts separately.

- Bilingual A4 tax invoice letterhead, rebuilt from the workshop's existing printed invoice

What the job actually was
Al Kunooz had been issuing invoices on a design that predated anyone currently in the office. There was no artwork file — only printed copies of the form itself.
So the work was reconstruction rather than design: rebuilding the document from a printed sample into proper artwork the business owns and can reorder from.
The bilingual layout
The header carries the company name in English on the left and Arabic on the right, with the phone, email and PO Box mirrored on both sides. The TAX INVOICE heading and the TRN sit centrally so neither language reads as the secondary one.
The Arabic is set as live text rather than pasted in as an image, which is why it stays sharp at print size and can be corrected on the next reorder without rebuilding the whole document.
Laying out the body around how it gets filled in
A workshop invoice is written up in a particular order — the vehicle first, then labour, then parts — and the form should follow that rather than fight it. The body was laid out with:
- Vehicle registration, mileage and make at the top, because that is how a repair is found again months later
- Labour and parts as separate blocks, which is the single most common source of argument at the counter
- A VAT column alongside each line rather than as an afterthought
- Amount in words as well as figures
- A receiver’s signature line at the foot, next to the acknowledgement that the vehicle was received in good order
What the client ends up with
Artwork they own, in both languages, correct on the details, and reorderable without starting again.
