What's included
In the price you are quoted
- Structuring your content into a document that reads in a sensible order
- Layout, typesetting and image placement
- A PDF version sized for email alongside the print version
- A digital proof of every page before printing
What the document is for
A company profile is read by someone deciding whether to take you seriously — a main contractor reviewing subcontractors, a client shortlisting suppliers, a procurement officer processing a registration.
They are not reading for pleasure. They are checking whether you are real, whether you have done this before, and whether you are registered to do it.
Structure that works
- A short introduction — who you are in two paragraphs
- What you do — services, stated plainly
- Capability — equipment, capacity, team size, coverage
- Track record — projects, with photographs if you have them
- Clients — only real ones, and only with permission
- Credentials — trade licence, registrations, certifications
- Contact — complete, correct, and easy to find
The most common mistakes
Too long. A 40-page profile does not get read. Sixteen well-organised pages outperform it.
Adjectives instead of facts. “Leading provider of quality solutions” tells the reader nothing. “Eleven staff, two workshops in Al Quoz, 300 tonnes of stock” tells them everything.
No licence details. For supplier registration this is frequently the first thing checked, and leaving it out creates an unnecessary round trip.
Stock photography. Recognisable stock images do measurable damage to credibility in a document whose whole purpose is establishing it.
Print and PDF are different files
The print version is built for a press. The email version needs to open quickly and pass through attachment size limits. We supply both rather than sending you away with a 40MB file that bounces.
Questions
Company profile design: Common questions
What should a company profile contain?
Enough for someone to decide you are credible, and no more. Who you are, what you do, what you have done, who you have done it for, your licence and registration details, and how to contact you. Most profiles are too long rather than too short.
We have no project photographs. Is that a problem?
It is a limitation rather than a blocker. A profile can be built around clear service descriptions, capabilities and a well-structured layout. But photographs of your own work are the single most persuasive thing you can add, and taking them is usually worth the effort.
Should the profile be printed or a PDF?
Both, and they are not the same file. A printed booklet is what you hand over in a meeting or attach to a submission. The PDF needs to be small enough to email without being rejected, which usually means a separately optimised version rather than the print file.
How long does a company profile take?
The design is rarely the slow part. Gathering your content — descriptions, photographs, licence details, project lists — usually takes longer than the layout. Starting that collection early is the single best thing you can do to speed it up.
