Specifications

What you can order

If what you need is not listed, ask — this is what we make most often, not a limit.

What it isLED neon flex — a flexible silicone tube lit along its length, bent to shape. Not glass tube neon, which is fragile, far more expensive and slow to repair.
MountingClear acrylic backing, cut-to-shape backing, or mounted direct to a wall. Clear backing is close to invisible once lit.
ColoursOne colour per run of tube. Several colours in one sign are separate runs joined on the same backing.
SizesMade to your artwork — small interior pieces through to full shopfront lettering.
PowerLow voltage through a transformer. Needs a power point within reach, which is worth checking before you fix the position.
Indoor and outdoorOutdoor needs a rated power supply, sealed connections and UV-stable silicone. Say which it is at enquiry, because it changes the build.

Build your specification

Choose what you need and send it over. Your selection arrives with the enquiry, so the quote comes back against the exact specification rather than a guess at it.

Printing is quoted, not listed — the price moves with run length, finishing and whether your job shares a sheet. Tell us the spec and you get a real number, usually the same working day.

What's included

In the price you are quoted

  • Artwork redrawn as a continuous path — neon cannot jump gaps, so most logos need adapting
  • Arabic set properly, with letterforms joined as they should be
  • A scaled visual showing the sign in position before anything is made
  • Free corrections at the visual stage
  • Delivery across Dubai

A neon sign is a tube that runs from one end to the other. It cannot lift off and start again somewhere else, and it cannot render a thin detail or a fade.

Most logos were not drawn with that in mind. A wordmark with separate dots over the letters, a mark made of detached shapes, anything with a gradient — all of it has to be redrawn as a path a single run of tube can follow, or broken into several runs that join behind the backing.

That redraw is part of the job here. What matters is that you see the adapted version before it is made, because it will not be identical to your logo on paper and you should agree to the difference rather than discover it.

Decide where the power is before you decide where the sign goes

Neon runs at low voltage through a transformer, which has to sit somewhere and has to reach a socket. On an interior wall that is usually trivial. On a shopfront it sometimes means a cable run nobody costed.

Check it early. It is a five-minute question at enquiry and an expensive one after the sign is made.

Where it earns its cost

Neon reads as considered rather than cheap, and it photographs well — which is why it has become standard for cafes, salons and anywhere customers take pictures. For a business whose customers post about it, a neon piece behind the counter does more marketing work than its cost suggests.

For pure legibility from across a road, a lit fascia or 3D letters will beat it. Neon is for atmosphere and for close range.

Questions

Neon signage: Common questions

Is this real neon or LED?

LED neon flex, and that is the right answer for almost every commercial job in Dubai. Glass tube neon is beautiful, but it is fragile, expensive to make and expensive to repair, and a broken section means a specialist callout. LED flex looks close enough that most people cannot tell once lit, uses a fraction of the power, and survives being knocked.

Can you make my logo in neon?

Usually, but it often needs adapting. Neon is a continuous tube — it cannot jump a gap or render a fine gradient, so a logo with detached elements or thin detail has to be redrawn as something a single run of tube can follow. We do that redraw as part of the job and show you the adaptation before anything is made.

Will it work outdoors in Dubai?

Yes, with the right build. Outdoor neon needs a rated power supply, sealed connections and UV-stable silicone. That is a different specification from an indoor piece rather than an optional extra, so tell us at enquiry which it is.

How long does a neon sign last?

The LED itself runs for tens of thousands of hours. What fails first in practice is almost always the power supply or a connection, which is why the supply rating matters more than the tube. Both are replaceable without remaking the sign.
