The number is the design
A fridge magnet is not read, it is consulted. Someone’s tap is leaking, or they want a delivery, and they look at the fridge door. The only question that matters is whether the phone number can be read across a kitchen.
That makes the hierarchy simple and slightly unfashionable: number biggest, what you do second, logo third. We have seen plenty of beautiful magnets where the number is 8pt under the logo, and they do not work.
It outlives everything else you print
A flyer has a day. A business card has a week in a drawer. A magnet stays on a fridge until the fridge is replaced. Print the number you intend to keep, and check it twice at proof — a magnet with an old number on it is still on the door three years later.
When a custom shape earns its cost
A die cut costs more and is worth it when the silhouette says what you do before anyone reads a word: a van, a tooth, a pizza slice, a key. If the shape is just a shape, stay with the standard size and spend the difference on quantity.

Why is a fridge magnet worth printing when a business card is cheaper?
Because of where it ends up. A business card goes in a drawer within a week. A magnet with a phone number on it sits at eye level in the kitchen for years, which is why plumbers, clinics, takeaways and maintenance companies keep printing them — it is the cheapest long-life advertising there is.
What should actually go on it?
The phone number, large. That is the entire job. A magnet is found by someone who already has a problem and needs the number now — a logo-heavy design that makes the number small defeats the purpose. Everything else is decoration.
Can you cut it to our own shape?
Yes, up to 36 x 22 cm. A custom die costs more up front and is worth it when the shape means something — a van for a removals company, a tooth for a dental clinic. A novelty shape with no connection to the business just costs more.
What is the minimum order?
One thousand. The magnet sheet is laminated and cut as a batch, so shorter runs do not reduce the setup.
