Design that has to actually print
There is a difference between a design that looks good on a screen and one that prints correctly. Files arrive here regularly with no bleed, images at screen resolution, text in RGB black that will print as a muddy four-colour grey, and Arabic pasted in as a flattened image.
None of that is visible until it is printed, which is the worst possible moment to find out.
Because we design and print, the file is built for the press it is going on from the beginning.
The most common job: rebuilding what exists
A large share of our design work is not new design at all. It is reconstruction — taking a photo of a printed item somebody has used for years and rebuilding it as proper artwork, corrected and reusable.
That is genuinely useful work. It gives the customer a file they own, a document that is right, and the ability to reorder without starting again.
Redrawing a logo
If your logo only exists as a low-resolution image pulled from an old file or a website, it should be redrawn as vector artwork. It is a one-off cost and it solves the problem permanently — the mark then works at any size, on any material, in one colour or full colour.
Bilingual layout
Setting Arabic alongside English is typesetting rather than translation. The text runs right to left, the letters join, lines break in different places, and the two columns have to align without either language looking squeezed.
Questions
Graphic design: Common questions
Do you design logos?
Yes, though we will be straightforward about scope. We design marks that work well in print — legible small, reproducible in one colour, and sensible on a pen or an embroidered shirt. A full brand strategy exercise is a different kind of engagement and not what we offer.
My logo is a low-resolution image. Can you fix it?
In most cases yes, by redrawing it as vector artwork so it stays sharp at any size. This is worth doing once — a blurry logo on a banner or a business card is very visible, and it will keep costing you until it is fixed.
Can you match an existing design so a reprint looks identical?
Yes. Rebuilding an existing printed piece so the reprint matches the original is one of the most common things we do. Send a clear photo or scan and tell us what needs to change.
