The material decides everything
Almost every sticker problem is a material problem. A label chosen on price and put somewhere it cannot survive will curl, fade or fall off, and by then it is already on a thousand boxes.
- Indoor packaging — paper. Cheapest, entirely adequate, no reason to spend more.
- Outdoor or yard storage — white or clear vinyl with a UV laminate.
- Washdown, cold store or chemical contact — polypropylene, laminated.
- Rough or textured surfaces — high-tack adhesive, because standard adhesive will not hold on concrete, timber or powder-coated steel.
- Glass you want to see through — clear vinyl, printed with a white ink layer where the design needs to stay opaque.
Tell us where it is going before we quote and the answer is usually obvious.
Die-cutting
Any shape can be cut. The practical limits are fine points and narrow connecting sections, which tear during weeding and application. If your logo has a hairline detail, it usually pays to simplify the cut outline while keeping the printed artwork intact.
Quantities
Stickers are printed on sheets and cut, so cost per sticker falls steeply with quantity. The jump from 100 to 500 is usually small in absolute terms. If you know you will reorder, ordering the larger run now is normally cheaper than running twice.
Questions
Stickers & labels: Common questions
Will the sticker survive outdoors in Dubai?
Only if it is the right material. Paper labels fail within days outdoors here. White or clear vinyl with a UV laminate is the minimum for anything in direct sun, and even then colours will fade over a year or two. Tell us where it is going and we will specify accordingly.
Can you cut stickers to a custom shape?
Yes. Die-cutting to your logo outline or any custom shape is routine. A shape with very fine points or narrow necks is harder to weed and to apply, so we will tell you if the outline needs simplifying.
What is the difference between removable and permanent adhesive?
Permanent adhesive is the default and will damage the surface or tear if removed. Removable adhesive peels away cleanly for a period, which matters for promotional stickers on glass, seasonal labelling and anything applied to a surface you care about.
Do you print on rolls?
Yes. If you are applying labels by hand, sheets are usually easier. If you have an applicator or are labelling in volume, rolls are worth specifying, and we need to know the core size and unwind direction.
