What you can order

If what you need is not listed, ask — this is what we make most often, not a limit.

LanguagesArabic and English on the same sign. Standard on UAE sites, and the usual reason a sign gets pulled up on inspection.
SizesA5 and A4 for interiors, A3 and A2 for circulation areas, large format for site perimeter boards.
FinishingRounded corners, pre-drilled fixing holes, and laminate for outdoor UV resistance.

Build your specification

Choose what you need and send it over. Your selection arrives with the enquiry, so the quote comes back against the exact specification rather than a guess at it.

  • Arabic and English on the same sign, set as live text
  • Sizing against the distance the sign actually has to be read from
  • A digital proof before printing
  • Delivery across Dubai

The distance decides the size

This is the question almost nobody asks, and it is the one that determines whether a safety sign works. A sign is sized for the distance it has to be read from, not for the sheet it is cut from.

A door notice read at two metres and a perimeter board read across a yard are different products. Tell us how far away the reader will be standing and the size follows from that.

Use the symbols people already know

Safety pictograms work because they are recognised before they are read. A triangle means warning, a circle with a diagonal bar means prohibited, a blue disc means mandatory — all of that lands before anyone processes a word.

An invented icon has to be interpreted, which is exactly what a safety sign cannot afford. We draw to the recognised set. If brand guidelines conflict with that, the guidelines give way on these signs.

Bilingual is not decoration here

On a Dubai site with a mixed workforce, a sign in one language is doing half its job at best. Arabic and English on the same sign is standard, it is what inspections expect, and it is the most common reason signage gets pulled up.

We set both as live text rather than pasting Arabic in as an image. That matters more at the small sizes an instruction panel uses than it does on a shopfront.

Questions

Safety signage: Common questions

Do safety signs in the UAE need to be in Arabic?

Bilingual Arabic and English is the norm on UAE sites and is what inspections expect. Beyond that, a sign nobody on the crew can read is not performing its function at all — on a site with a mixed workforce that is the practical argument as much as the regulatory one. We set both as standard.

Can you use our own symbols?

We would advise against it. Safety pictograms work because people recognise them without reading — a triangle means warning, a circle with a diagonal bar means prohibited, before any word is processed. An invented icon has to be read and interpreted, which defeats the purpose. We draw to the recognised set.

What material should an outdoor site sign be?

Aluminium composite for anything staying up for months. It does not warp in heat and does not fade as quickly. Rigid PVC is fine for shorter jobs and interiors. Where the sign goes onto an existing surface such as a container door or a machine guard, self-adhesive vinyl is simpler than fixing a board.

How big does a safety sign need to be?

It depends entirely on the distance it must be read from, which is the question people usually skip. A sign that works at two metres is useless across a yard. Tell us how far away someone will be standing and we size it to that rather than to the sheet it is cut from.
