NCR receipt voucher book for a scaffolding trader
The company had moved warehouse and its receipt voucher books still carried the old address. The existing book was reproduced from a marked-up sample, the address corrected, and the numbering continued from where the previous series ended.

A move, and a book full of the old address
This is the most ordinary version of the job we do, and the most common. The company had relocated warehouse. Their receipt voucher books still showed the previous unit, and the printer who produced them originally was no longer reachable.
What we had to work from was a used voucher from the old book, hand-marked with the corrections.
Reproducing rather than redesigning
The layout was deliberately kept. Staff already knew where to write, customers already recognised the document, and there was nothing wrong with the form — only with the address printed on it.
So the voucher was rebuilt to match, with three changes:
- Warehouse address corrected to Al Quoz Industrial Area 3
- Arabic reset as live text, replacing a stretched, softened version
- Numbering continued from the last number used in the previous book
Why the numbering mattered
The company’s accounts reconcile receipts by voucher number. Restarting the sequence at 1 would have produced duplicate numbers across two books covering the same year — an avoidable problem that only becomes visible at audit.
Continuing the series meant the records stayed intact.
Carbonless, and built for a yard
The book is NCR so a copy stays bound when the original is handed over, and it was finished for use in a truck cab and a yard rather than at a desk.
