No design file needed

Lost the artwork? Send us a photo of the old one.

Most Dubai businesses do not have the original design file — the designer kept it, or the last printer never handed it over. That does not stop anything. Photograph what you have and we rebuild it, in Arabic and English, and show you a proof before anything prints.

How it works

Three steps, and two of them are ours

You take one photo. We do the rest and come back with something to approve.

  1. 01

    You photograph it

Any phone. Any printed item you want again — or want corrected. Send it on WhatsApp or attach it to the quote form.

  2. 02

    We rebuild the artwork

Redrawn properly, with Arabic set right-to-left as live text rather than pasted in as an image, and your current details in place.

  3. 03

    You approve a proof

Nothing goes on press until you have seen it and said yes. Corrections at proof stage are free.

Getting a usable photo

Six things that make a photo we can work from

None of this needs a good camera. It is the difference between one round of questions and none.

Get the whole thing in frame

All four edges visible, with a little space around them. A cropped corner means a guessed corner, and guessing is how a logo comes back slightly wrong.

Shoot straight down, not at an angle

Hold the phone parallel to the item rather than leaning over it. An angled photo distorts the proportions, and we end up rebuilding a logo that is subtly the wrong shape.

Use daylight, and watch your shadow

Near a window beats overhead office light, which throws your own shadow across the page. Avoid flash — it blows out exactly the glossy areas you need us to read.

One close-up of the small print

A second photo of the footer — licence number, phone, TRN, address — saves a round of questions. That text is usually the smallest on the item and the part that most often needs correcting.

Flatten it if you can

A curled invoice book or a folded menu photographs badly. Press it flat, or hold the page down at the corners. For a sign or a vehicle, step back far enough to get it square on.

Send the original, not a screenshot

WhatsApp compresses images, but a photo sent as a photo still carries far more detail than a screenshot of that photo. If you have the option, send it as a document to keep full resolution.

What you can send

If it is printed, a photo is enough

A short note on what to shoot for the things people send us most.

Invoice or voucher bookOpen it flat and shoot one full set, plus a close-up of the header.
Business cardBoth sides, on a plain surface — a sheet of white paper works.
LetterheadThe whole sheet, flat, with the footer legible.
MenuEach panel separately rather than one photo of the folded whole.
Shopfront signStraight on from across the street, plus one closer shot of the lettering.
Vehicle graphicsEach side separately, parked square to the camera.
Uniform or workwearThe garment flat, and a close-up of the embroidery or print.
Packaging boxFlattened if you have a spare, otherwise each printed face.

Questions

What people ask before sending one

I do not have the design file. Can you still print it?

Yes. That is the normal situation, not the exception — most small businesses do not have the original file, because the designer kept it or the printer who made the last batch never handed it over. Photograph what you have and we redraw it. You do not need a file, a designer, or any software.

What can I photograph?

Anything printed that you want again or want improved: an invoice or voucher book, a business card, a letterhead, a menu, a flyer, a sticker, a shopfront sign, a vehicle, a uniform, or a packaging box. If it exists physically, a photo is enough to start.

Will it come back looking exactly the same?

It will if you want it to. More often we send back a tidied version alongside the faithful one — the same layout with the typesetting corrected, the Arabic set properly as live text, and your current trade licence and contact details in place. You choose which one goes to print.

My old one has the wrong phone number and a previous address on it.

Tell us and we correct it. This is the most common reason people reprint at all, and it is worth checking the whole set at the same time — the letterhead, the invoice book and the business card usually disagree with each other by the time a company has moved once.

Does rebuilding the artwork cost extra?

Artwork is included in the printing. There is no separate design charge for rebuilding something from a photo, which is why sending a photo is the cheapest way to get a print job started.

What if the photo is not good enough?

We will tell you, and say exactly what to re-shoot. Usually it is one of three things — the whole item was not in frame, there was a shadow across it, or the small print was too soft to read. None of those need a second visit, just a second photo.

Take the photo now — it takes less time than finding the file would.
