Small pieces that do a lot of work
Retail printing is mostly small-format and high-contact: the card in a wallet, the voucher in a drawer, the label on a shelf, the vinyl on the window. None of it is glamorous, and all of it is seen constantly.
Cards that survive a wallet
A loyalty card printed on thin stock is creased within a week and thrown away soon after. 350gsm with a matt laminate costs marginally more per card and lasts the whole reward cycle, which is the entire point of issuing one.
If it will be stamped, leave the stamping side unlaminated — ink does not take reliably on a laminated surface, and that is a mistake which only becomes obvious after the cards are printed.
Window graphics
Your shopfront is the largest piece of advertising you own and the one you have already paid for. Vinyl on glass is inexpensive relative to almost any other advertising, and a well-cut set of opening hours, service list and logo does more work than most leaflet campaigns.

Do loyalty cards actually get used?
The ones that fit in a wallet and have an obvious next reward do. The common failure is a card that needs twelve stamps before anything happens, which most customers abandon. A shorter reward cycle printed on a sturdier card generally performs better than a longer one printed cheaply.
What is the best material for shopfront window graphics?
For text and logos on glass, cut vinyl or printed vinyl with a laminate is standard. Frosted or etched-effect vinyl is used where you want privacy at seated height while keeping the light. The right answer depends on how much sun the glass takes and whether you need to see out.
Can you print gift vouchers with numbers on them?
Yes. Sequential numbering is straightforward and worth having on vouchers, because it lets you track what has been issued and redeemed rather than trusting a drawer full of loose cards.
